Westside School is an independent Preschool–8th grade school in West Seattle where joyful learning and high academic standards go hand in hand. Students are known, challenged, and supported by teachers who encourage them to ask questions, think critically, make connections, and take an active role in their education. Our program combines strong academics with Spanish and Mandarin, visual and performing arts, athletics, outdoor education, field experiences, and social-emotional learning. From play-based learning in our Early Learning program to greater choice, leadership, and independence in Middle School, each stage intentionally builds on the one before it. What truly sets Westside apart is our connected Preschool–8th grade community. Through Wolfpacks, buddy relationships, school traditions, and shared experiences, students build meaningful relationships across grade levels and grow from the youngest members of the community into mentors and leaders.
