Founded by Steve Smith in 1986, Seattle Drum School of Music has remained family-owned (along with his wife & co-instructor Kristy Smith) and expanded into an institution of 40+ teachers at two locations (Lake City & Georgetown). From beginning lessons to master classes, SDS offers instruction for every age and skill level including guitar, bass, piano, voice, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, and drums (duh) in addition to Music Production and Audio Engineering. SDSoM has instructed 16,000+ students over its history. We also support live music and community events at our event space, The LAB at 1010 at our Georgetown school.
