First of all I’m a big Star Wars but also mainly a Original Trilogy(1977-83’) fan the props and setup of the park are fantastic, you do feel like your walking into a set and seeing the Millennium Falcon up close in person is quite something, I’ve split this review into 3 segments first the drawbacks, second the pros and last the overall review:-Let’s begin:-1)The biggest drawbacks/cons were:- Mainly focused on the sequels theme-Personally if your gonna do a SW themed park focus on it from all the generations not 90% of it on the sequels, sure I know the sequels were the Disney franchise but Star Wars was intended for all the different generations not just the younger generations all we got were First Order and the New Republic theme going, none of the classic Empire, Rebel Alliance or Seperatists/Old Republic etc2) Lacking in rides :-The rides were well made and a lot of work went into these, these were good length rides making it worth the wait however, again the only major rides were only focused on the sequel trilogy and there was 3:- the third being the original Star Wars Star Tours Ride which ended up being remade again to be the like the sequels, and the original trilogy piece was the AT AT walker at the entrance where it used to be part of MGM studios theme park Pros:-Excellent props decorations/models/displays making it feel like your in a Star Wars set, Friendly and excellent staff and a few Star Wars characters going round the parkSome great Star Wars themed shops and restaurants Overall :-It’s a good experience but (personally) it’s only worth half the day there was so much you can do, I didn’t though do the evening event,as kid who grew up in the 90s Star Wars it was a bit of mixed emotions of a day the visuals models were great, but was lacking in overall Star Wars we all grew up with and was mainly focused on the Sequel trilogy If they can fix this and make for all the generations I’d be willing to give a second shot as what we got to remember is if it weren’t for the Original Trilogy, Prequels and even some of the Expandeds Universe including non-canon we wouldn’t have the sequels aswell, make it for all the fans and the all eras

My biggest time saving advice in Galaxy's Edge is if you are there with a second person, just hit the single rider line on Smugglers Run as a duo. The ride takes 6 riders (2 pilots, 2 gunners, and 2 engineers). Lots of times there are groups of 4 and they need 2 to fill out the group. If you go as a duo in the single rider line you can get on the rider in less than 5 minutes. Wife and I did this last trip and did the ride twice in less than 25 minutes total and the standby was listed at 50 minutes.

Galaxy's Edge is an absolute must if you, or anyone in your family, is a star wars fan. We've been in both Orlando and Anaheim, and would do it again in a heart beat. Rise of the Resistance is an absolute must. You can also build a droid and the younger family members can be a jedi in training. We could have easily spent the day here.

I am a pretty big Star Wars nerd and I have been waiting for the right time to see Galaxy's Edge in California. Right off the bat I will say this land is completely immersive and very impressive. You definitely feel like you're in a spaceport town from the universe. While I will admit there doesn't seem to be a lot of things to actually do if you aren't interested in building droids or lightsabers, it's fun to just walk around and go through the main marketplace with the shops and food. The main draw honestly is the giant Millennium Falcon and Rise of the Resistance. We had to wait until later in the day to ride Rise of the Resistance because it was closed down, but once it was open we got on after about a 45min wait. You have to get the Disneyland app to check the wait times or else you're at a big disadvantage. That ride is so cool, though. If the wait times were shorter I could have gone on it probably 4-5 times. Just beware if you get motion sick, there is a simulator at the end that makes you feel like you're experiencing a pretty big drop. Based on reviews and the fact that Smuggler's Run only ever had about a 10-15min wait time, I decided to skip that ride.

We have 2 small children and we actually got on one ride here but my daughter just freaked out and ruined it for the people on the ride with us. I felt so bad! In any case, the other ride was so long all day long and so we didn’t even try. However, my children loved it when R2D2 strolled right on by us. This place is so detailed and amazing. I want to visit again by myself or when my kids are older so I can check it all out properly.
