tripadvisorOn a road trip back from Calif. we stopped here for an overnight stay. We didn’t have a reservation and they were able to accommodate us without a problem. The Desk Clerk was very nice, recognized us as Hilton Honors Members and pointed out local restaurants. She was a pleasure to deal with and represented the Hilton Chain well. The room was large, very clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean, large and the shower head was very nice after a long day on the road. Don’t know how old this hotel is but it is great condition and very clean on the inside and outside. Breakfast was a typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Even though this hotel is on the outskirts of Tucson I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I was in the area.
MoreThe staff was super helpful when I was assigned a room that didn’t reflect my preferences. I called and spoke to Haley who listened, acknowledged the mis-match and corrected it with an upgrade to a lovely suite. This is what I have come to love about Hilton service and in combination with a well-maintained property and spotless guest room and public areas, it keeps me returning.
MoreI checked into this hotel and could immediately smell the strong smell of cigarrette smoke. I notified the front office person and their response was, Well you can smoke right outside the front door. What do you expect? Well, I informed him that I am highly allergic to cigarrette smoke and that I wanted to cancel my reservation. Well, then I was informed that it was a nonsmoking hotel and my reservation could not be cancelled. But beware, they inflated the prices of the rooms x3 because of the gem show that was going on in Tuscon. I complained and voiced my concerns to the front desk every morning and evening and even on the day of departure as it was coming into my room on the 4th floor. Not even the manager or corporate cared to do anything about this situation. Their remedy was to have housekeeping spray more to cover it up. Didn't solve the problem. Housekeeping is provided to your room every other day, even though the website pointed out every day. They have very bad customer service and the sign on the check in counter that states that they guarantee 100% happiness and satisfaction is a lie. They never gave me anything off the price of the room or cared to resolve the problem. They only cared about the money that they got, which was way overpriced for the service provided. Then they lied about the location of the property. It was no where near the Tuscon airport and it was about 45 minutes away with traffic. I will never stay at another Hilton property again after this experience. It had been a long time since I had previously stayed at one and this was definitely the last. Because it was a smoking hotel that was branded as a non smoking hotel, but all smoking guests were definitely allowed to smoke inside and outside and they only had one elevator. That stunk of cigarette smoke as well. Beware, save your money and go to another property with better customer service and people that actually care about their customers happiness and well being and live by the company moto. As this one clearly does not.
MoreThis is a nice hotel. We stayed a Friday and Saturday nights. Staff was nice and caring. Breakfast was well stocked and served its purpose. We have a small dog and we’re charged $75 pet fee. There are dog pots with bags on the hotel grounds. Now, there were plenty of dog litter that was not picked up! We were reminded that we are responsible for picking up the litter. I let the desk no about it! Also the latch on the side door was broken however it was repaired the next day. The shower in our room had some loose trim. The shower head sprayed all over and the shower curtain was too short. Of course no microwave! How do you expect us to reheat our in room coffee and meals!! The refrigerator is too small with no freezer! Not up to Hampton or Hilton standards. Another thing, why are the ADA rooms not by the elevators? They are halfway down the hall! Poor design!
MoreThis location was great for us as we were just passing through and stopped for the night. Staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel was clean and well kept. My husband is disabled and this hotel was easy for him to get around and there was plenty of handicap parking.
