tripadvisorSan Juan Outriggers Adventures Bio Luminescent Bay. True ocean kayaking, They have the full set up and are willing to work with you. We had kids under 13, so we did a private tour. You have to go late at night, like 9pm to midnight, and it will get cold, so dress warm and in layers. If you arrange a private tour, you can turn around anytime you wish, (which is nice). They offer all equipment, and safety items. Bring a headlamp, it is much needed. have fun! Our tour was from Roche Harbor, which is directly opposite from Friday harbor and about a 30 minute drive.
MoreSuch an awesome experience! The kids loved throwing the hook & pulling in the crab & prawn pots. The boat ride and views were breath taking & the captain was the best!
MoreMy friend surprised me with a birthday fishing trip!! Corey picked us up on another island, then took us to the secret prawning area. He got the pots ready, got them soaking then it was time to do a little Lingcod fishing. We had some big currents to deal with but we were still able to get on some fish. After a while it was time to pull the pots and see what we caught. YEAH!! fresh spot prawns!! We all learned never really trust the forecast just trust the captain because it was sunny and calm all day.
MoreWOW!! What an adventure! I booked a charter as a surprise for my best friend. Corey picked us up on another island and the adventure began. We started out with a quick ride to the Secret fishing spot. We set prawn traps and took a short ride to a nearby island for some Lingcod fishing. We had our jigs in the water for only 4-5 minutes before we started catching fish. This was a BLAST! After bringing about 6 fish on the boat, it was time to check the prawn traps. It was so much fun helping with the process. 2 of the 4 pots we're packed with big prawns. The other 2 had less the the first. We did however, catch our limit for each person on the boat. The weather was forecast to be windy and rainy. We got lucky and it was flat calm and sunny. What an epic adventure! A shout out to Corey the captain and his deck hand Mike (who knows some great fishing spots) for the awesome day. I'll definitelybook again for a crab trip.
MoreThis past August some friend from CA, my wife and I booked a crabbing trip with Corey—San Juan Adventures. From our initial interaction with him as we were trying to decide who to book with to the very end, Corey was top shelf all the way. Great down to earth guy that shows you an incredible time and lots of CRAB! He knows what he is doing and has tons of knowledge about the industry/area. Lots of fun too! His boat is great and fully equipped with all needed for the perfect day. At the end of the adventure, Corey cleaned all the crab, cooked them and we had an amazing lunch—crab feed right on the dock. Really a spectacular day all the way around and we all highly recommend booking with Corey and no one else! I am already working on figuring out how we can book again for next year. Thanks for a great day Corey and you truly love what you do—it shows big time! Cheers and we will be back!
