My husband booked us a room here for my birthday. We stayed in the Voyager suite, which is the only room that does not have an en suite bath. We loved it! Super cozy place to stay. Alicia & John were so hospitable. The small kitchen area for the guests came in great use when we needed to store our leftover food. We were close to everything: the beach, the strand, restaurants & Moody Gardens. So we did not lack for activities! And after a day filled with fun, we were able to come back to the house and read on the front porch and relax until bed time. I’ve always enjoyed looking at the homes with history, so it was awesome to be able to stay in one. As soon as we left, I told my husband that this is the only place I want to stay when we visit Galveston! Thank you, Alicia & John, for opening up your home to us! -Sam and Noelle

We were in Galveston to celebrate our 33 wedding anniversary. The room was not what was expected. The online photos of the room were misleading and did not get the room that my wife had viewed online.. The floors were worn. The bathroom down the hall had significant problems and it was difficult to lock the door. The faucets (which were loose) on the wash basin had to held by one hand in order to turn the water on and off on both hot and cold water. The hall lights at times did not work. The internet did not work. The TV in the living room did not work. The continental breakfast was lacking was in a cubby hole and no tables. They did make a good pot of coffee. There was a common refrigerator but it would have been questionable to use the food items in it. and you certainly could not leave your food in it. I will not even consider staying there again.
