tripadvisorWe're so glad we did the all day rental of the little electric car. This is probably the funnest thing we did on the island while we were here for the three days. We got to see so much in the island and ran into other susie's rental people for some fun conversations. The car was a blast to drive. And best of all, we had the optional tablet with an alexa type tour guide.
MoreWe rented one of their automatic Chevy trackers for the day and did the loop around the island. Well worth it. Be prepared, the tracker was an old gal but she was smooth. No modern tech inside or backup camera. Key to turn it on. Staff was great. We got our car quick.
MoreMy honest opinion of the All NEW Electric Zeromax I rented. My only problem with it is that I expected it to be quiet since an electric vehicle, but it was very noisy all the way up to it's max speed of 35 mph. We had to listen to a constant high pitched whine from somewhere on the vehicle. I called the store but it was impractical to switch to something else that would work for us, so we had to keep it for the day. I do not recommend this choice, for that reason. It was extremely annoying and detracted greatly from my enjoyment of the day. The sound is worse than the sounds of the mopeds by far or the coupes, both which I've rented before. I figured they'd find something mechanically wrong with it upon return and give us a discount perhaps, but no, they said it was normal for it to whine like that. It doesn't make sense to me. Good luck if you rent one, but I don't recommend them, not to mention at that price of $270/day!
MoreBest time ever! Easy to rent on line, great customer service once you get there. We got the Red River and tooled around the island, following the map provided. Ate lunch in Roche Harbor and made it back for the 340 ferry to Seattle. A great day.
MoreThe way the have a map with curated experiences along the way is extremely helpful and made it feel like an experience not that you were just renting a cart. The coupe was extremely easy to use and the rental process took minutes. A must do for first time visitors of San Juan!
