Wow what a find this was. The classic cars here at Woody'e in Cross Plains is a must see. You are greeted warmly by Christine, who is a peach. So happy, smiley and enthusiastic about whats on offer. The selection of classic cars is extensive with some rare models. The base base collection upstairs is worth seeing to. Check out the restrooms as well, very cool. This is a must see and its free!

What a great, little museum! I was amazed at how many Woody’s cars has displayed. Plus, the variety of cars is wonderful with how the information is displayed with each vehicle for non-car enthusiasts such as myself was very helpful. The museum is so bright, clean and very inviting. We were greeted right away at the front door by a very friendly employee who gave us all of the information that we needed to begin our tour. I highly recommend Woody’s as a day trip for anyone. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon! Free admission!! (The photos that I uploaded are mostly from the “overflow” room and not representative of the best cats at the museum. The vette was my favorite, though!!)

Wow! We saw the sign on I-20 a year ago and we planned to stop someday. We finally did and were totally amazed! It's a small museum, but extremely well done. Displays are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful. We were told that they plan to expand in 2025 and add more vehicles. The only thing that we were disappointed in is the fact that they don't accept donations! Everything is FREE! If you're in the area, you NEED to stop!

Visited an amazing free museum in a small country town, Cross Plains just 158 miles south west of Dallas. Set up by Patti Wood in memory of her late husband Danny Lee “Woody” Wood. Woody discovered oil in Texas - obviously lots of it! He collected classic cars whilst Patti collected baseball memorabilia. The collection is immaculate, the ladies who welcome you are really friendly & knowledgeable. The walls are adorned with paintings. All characters portrayed in the frescos are family or friends. A really neat idea. Absolutely outstanding as well as a big surprise! They have a huge new building out the back to ultimately showcase Woody’s vintage cars. Hope it doesn’t take too long to complete. Very well done!
