tripadvisorThis was a great experience. There is so much to see in this warehouse it’s not really possible to see it all in a couple hours. At least we couldn't. We went for the opening of an art exhibition a friend told us about and found out that there are artist studios in the building, and many of them were open too! There are sections in the building, in the one closest to 6th street, there is a large gallery and a small gallery and maybe 13 or 14 artist studios on the upper floor. Downstairs there is another gallery and another 10+ artist studios down there. In the middle section is a maker space/hackerspace? and in the other section through the back doors (and across the back deck) is another artist studio. This is on the courtyard side, on the street side entrance, there is yet another gallery and an artist studio. They had snacks and a band. It was super fun. I’ll be back to explore some more.
MoreIt's a great place to be, and to create - relaxed art vibe and great community!
MoreSteinfeld was a great experience. The building was historic and really cool to see just by itself. The artists studios were there and a few were open. Everyone was very inviting and willing to share and show their space. Truely amazing experience.
MoreGreat Printworks show at the large common gallery in January plus lots of open studios with active art demonstrations. Always plenty going on in this place but the first-Saturday (4-8) events are the most fun.
MoreOne of Tucson's gems. A warehouse filled with great art. No admission; free parking. Bonus: a number of artist studios were open and the respective artists were all happy to share their process, their works and more. We stayed for about an hour, and I left with a piece of truly fabulous affordable art! Cool experience, staff aka artists fabulous, not overly crowded, happy buzz.
