Located in Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, The Pike used to be a glorious amusement park along the beach which attracted fire eaters, clowns, brass bands, fortune tellers and even boasted the first carousel. However as time passed, this place slowly became a commercial area renting out its spaces for retail shops, private events, festivals, open air markets and art exhibitions. The good news is that a sea facing Ferris Wheel still exists and exudes the old world charm of the early 1900's. Recent renovations of The Pike have successfully combined modern elements with older ones, making this one of Long Beach's best loved spots.

Reviews
tripadvisorArea is nice but facilities are very bad. Toilets were very getto and not clean at all, the mall had 3 public toilets closed and only one was open.
MoreWaste of time and not worth the trip. You may find a few good buys, but not impressed at all. Below average shopping. Not recommended.
MoreThis place is terrible, hardly any stores and the ones that were open definitely did not have outlet prices. A complete and disappointing waste of time to go there from the ship and a waste of land. dont bother going, you will regret it and it will ruin your day and short day in “LA”. Should have went to LA and waited in the traffic.
MoreWe stayed at the Hyatt Centric, which is within very short walking distance of The Pike Outlets as well as other places to eat and shop. Even if you're not staying in a close by hotel, there is a huge parking garage within a block. I would have liked to seen more shopping choices but so much other stuff to do, it was enough. Lots of street vendors as well. Overall, a very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely travel here again.
MoreGood chance of having your car stolen from the structure. Colorful vagrants are plenty. Prices and taxes are high.
