I wish I could have taken more time to enjoy Santa Fe but there’s a great studio apartment near here I read in an email. There really was something terrible and magical about the woods. I loved hunting when I went here on long weekends and letting go. I haven’t been myself in a long time, maybe since I was last in those woods, I miss her.

A great dog park, mostly unfenced desert, but there is a smaller fenced in area for dogs not used to having over 100 acres to run free.

We stayed about two miles from this huge, open dog park. We walked our two dogs every morning we stayed in Santa Fe (three days). The dog park is huge! We walked 1-2 miles each day and saw a different part once we entered in the same location. Hills provided overlooking views of the mountains and the city. Absolutely stunning views while the sun was rising. The only downside is seeing several irresponsible pet owners not picking up after their pets even though bags and receptacles are everywhere. This was a nice find for our pets during our visit to Santa Fe.

This is hands down the best dog park in the southwest, possibly the country. A leash free, fence free dog park with acres of land for the dogs to run loose and socialize. The View is Incredible!!!! I take tons of mountain vista photos. Breath taking There is a decent fenced portion if you don’t trust your dog off leash or if you are nervous about small dogs. I have brought my dog here dozens of times at this point, it’s his favorite thing on earth

This is a huge off-leash dog park, and on a good weekend day you might see up to 50 cars yet only a few people and dogs at a time. There are plenty of trails and great views of mountains and the city. This park is not really fenced in, so it's important that your dog listens and comes when you call. Dogs are very friendly and mostly well behaved and the owners are nice. There are bags to pick up after the dogs, and water for dogs is available most of the time but you might want to have s bottle with you just in case. There are no public restrooms. Also, the terrain is rough and there are lots of hills, so for people with health issues the experience may be less enjoyable then for their dogs. Still, there is a large flat area where you can play ball with your dog or seat on a bench while your dog plays with other dogs. A word of caution for people without dogs looking for a place to jog or to walk with young children - this is not the best place for this as some dogs get excited and try to chase or jump at people.
