Have you heard of a road that sings? That is exactly what happens on Route 66 highway of Albuquerque in New Mexico. The rumble strips installed in the road plays the tunes of the patriotic song of “America the Beautiful”. Installed in the year 2014, this was commissioned by National Geographic Channel and a tie-up with The New Mexico Department of Transportation. What is the catch, you may ask? Well, this is to get drivers to follow the speed limit of 45 miles per hour on this route, which is exactly the right note (speed) to hear the music play.
