We came in from a hard days work and just wanted to shower and get some sleep to do it all over again the next day only to find out the elevator stop working.... and we were on the 3rd floor with my bad knees.... :(

Room not ready until 7pm. Hotel housekeeping understaffed. Front desk staff not empowered to approve cancelation of 3rd party reservations even though room was not available until 3 hours after standard checkin time

Great place lots of friendly people clean room, a lot of shopping centers breakfast was great very comfortable and peaceful I would love to go again but just to relax stay in the room and enjoy the peace!!! Quiet

Great location, clean hotel. Good atmosphere, good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Very pleasant stay. Close to shopping, restaurants, River Walk Shopping and Park. Near CSUB. Nice affordable stay. I will stay there again when visiting Bakersfield .

We have always been pleased with our stay at Hyatt Place Bakersfield. Sports activities require us to stay once or twice a year. The staff, especially Miss Q are wonderful! It feels like home when we visit.That being said, the last 2 visits I've noticed that housekeeping needs to deep clean the hallways, and rooms. Not fun to find hairs in the bathroom behind the door and splatters on the pictures and mirrors. And the lobby/bar area and breakfast room floors need some SERIOUS attention. Details, folks, DETAILS. It doesn't take that much extra time and makes a huge impact!I mentioned my observations discreetly to the manager but really don't think it was heard. It's such a nice hotel, I hate to see it going in the wrong direction. A course correction could be quick and noticeable!
