Visiting this preserve is very nice. The trail is smooth, the kayak launch convenient. The area along the canal is great for fishing or relaxing. But for people living around this preserve, we have been plagued with hogs that live there. They come out at night and root our lawns totally destroying the lawn. Visit during the day, but be away come dusk! Hopefully the city will address this issue soon.

Lovely small preserve area with walking trails by the canal. Great area for fishing and/or kayaking. Hiking trails area also nearby. Lots of different birds and some small wildlife can be viewed. I love to come here and sit on a bench and just do some mindfulness meditation.
