She will NOT let you in if your wearing a mask during covid, she says someone could rob her, she herself refuses to wear a mask, i do not think she cleans the store after letting mask less strangers in the store all day or when she prepares your food. She was extreamly sarcastic and rude to my 80 year old grandmother after she asked if she had any individual treats for a dollar to get something for her 9 year old grandson (my grandma came in their to pick up an order of fudge) she was extreamly polite on the phone. That was the only pleasant part of the experience.

We are currently in a pandemic, trying to help local businesses instead of buying online, but if you can’t make the effort to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask, then I’m not spending my time driving the extra miles to come and spend my money.

OMG...what a fantastic experience.Was a surprise for my GF and was WAY better than expected.Expected to walk in and find 3-4 other couples waiting like most tastings are,but this is totally PRIVATE,separate room from the actual shop.Table for 2-3-4 was set in beautiful china and waiting for us with the 1st course...YES..there are 3 courses...and Katie was wonderful...Couldnt of been a better experience and my GF is already making plans to bring a friend next time. I've been to the Tea at the Empress in BC,and aside from it being in an elegant hotel and serving little Tea Sandwiches KATIES rates right up there with them..!!

Four of us went here for a Chocolate Tasting. Three courses plus chai. Not only were the items tasty they were different and offered a variety of ways to consume chocolate. Be warned, don't eat before going as there is a lot. Lots of interesting creations to purchase for later.

We had bought a Groupon for the Chocolate tasting and had hoped to bring some friends who couldn't make it, time and time again, Kate was gracious to keep extending our coupon and we finally were able to make it when family came into town. Pros - Instantly felt welcomed and escorted to our room. Cute, quaint, just us...a great start to a time where you simply have to stop and enjoy...The tasting was fantastic. A variety of really nice offerings that brought in a real feel of a tasting rather than a sampling if you get my drift. Our host, though busy, was very accommodating and a great time was had by all. We especially liked the Chai Chocolate Cons - It is hard to come up with a cons for a good time in a chocolate store. With only one person there it could seem she was too busy. With all the tea around it would have been great to have some selections at our table with the chocolate? Really...I'm reaching now. What next, calories? Bottom Line - We had a great time. It was one of those rare opportunities to just sit, calm, enjoy...ahhh. We hope to be back soon and can't recommended this enough. Yes...Tenino is a bit of a drive but worth it.
