Waited for over an hour in Orlando being served by a guy in Philly hat. Service was awful. ‘Slow’ break. About 30 people on line going nowhere

I filled up prior to getting to airport, I was later billed for 7/10 of a tank, $8.00, unbelievable. Next time I fill up I’ll fill until the gas pours out, not good for the engine but beats getting an extra charge. Not easy to find their counter, very confusing. First car front passenger seat belt wouldn’t work, gave me a lesser vehicle

Here’s a tip for everyone: if you received a made-up bill for $250 deep cleaning charge, dispute it. File complaints with the prosecutor's office, your bank, and other regulatory organizations . We won a dispute over a made-up deep cleaning fee . we did rent car in Florida.

First of all, Tripadvisor couldn’t allow me to add the correct city I had our bad rental experience from Budget. It was not Orlando, it was at the Des Moines International Airport. The rental counter now is no longer at the terminal, it’s at 2540 Leland Ave. We now had to take extra time to take a shuttle to that offsite location. Then, we found a building full of angry customers waiting up to an hour & a half to get their car like we did as there were only 2-3 agents working despite plenty of cars in the lot. Our car was dirty inside & later we had to replace the key-fob battery (which customer service refused to reimburse). The car itself? So-so. We called national customer service who uncaringly said THEY couldn’t do anything about our experience & we had to call the DSM office who eventually removed 1 day from our bill, a mere $43. Big whoop. Apparently Budget is too busy so I’d advise everyone to help lighten their load by using a different rental company like WE intend to do.

Flew into MSP on 7/20/26 early afternoon. Had set up in advance a car through Costco. As I’m walking fast to beat others to the Budget counter I remained hopefully that the experience of rentals at MSP improved over the past 2 years. That was dashed in a hurry. Although I was fourth in line it still took 1 hour and 15 minutes before I got to the counter. Then of course, the level of car I ordered was not available. Not a problem I thought, the kind agent upgraded me to a Rav 4. Once at the lot, the Rav was not available but after a moment I was offered an Accord. I took it. When I got to my Rochester hotel, I noticed how the passenger interior side and backseat area was not cleaned after the rental before me. It didn’t look like it was vacuumed, wiped down and cleaned at all. I understand that I was the only one using the car this trip however it was ridiculous! Next morning, I cleaned those dirty areas myself even though no one else would be in the car other than me. This was not acceptable. Very long wait to get a dirty car…
