We were in town for the recent Garth Brooks concert and booked this hotel because it was close to the venue, reasonably priced, and we'd had good experiences at other Hyatt Place properties in the past. The property and room were clean, the staff were cordial but not the brightest set of bulbs I've ever encountered.Had a couple happy hour drinks at the bar before the show. According to my wife, the bartender does not know how to make a Cosmo....but that's not the issue. The problems started when we got back from the show at around 11pm. The room temp had risen 5 degrees since we left and the AC was no longer blowing cool air. After two calls to the front desk and 35 minutes, a service tech knocks on our door, tries to reset the thermostat (which we'd already tried), and then goes to the mechanical room to flip the breaker. We wait for 15 minutes and still no cool air coming from the vent. So we called the front desk again and tell them we are not staying that that room, and were informed there are no other rooms for us to move to. Ok, we are leaving. Front desk guy says, I understand. You haven't been billed yet, I can stop the charge to your credit card. I'm pretty level headed. Sometimes things happen. We elected to just drive back to our home city a couple hours away. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for the full price of the room today. I've contacted the GM, but not yet heard back. Guess I'll need to block the charge on my credit card. After reading the review history at this property, it appears the place has ongoing HVAC issues. Getting billed for a night after being told they had it under control is another kick in the pants.

This hotel is a gem in downtown Tulsa. It is located in the heart of downtown in a historic building with multiple restaurants and bars within walking distance. Our room was clean and bigger than expected, which was a welcome surprise. I was a little concerned that our room faced a busy street but the windows and walls were well insulated and I didn't hear a thing. Would definitely stay here again when traveling to Tulsa.

This is typically one of my favorite places to stay downtown however that has not been the case the last two times. We have been told we couldn’t use our Hyatt gift card and they would have to speak to someone else to see if it was possible we were told that that individual would be there in the morning and they could take the $150 gift card and apply it to our account fun fact we didn’t even end up staying all night because we had just such a terrible time we ended up leaving at midnight because it was hot in our room and earlier in the evening we were assigned a room then we come back from dinner to know a sign on our door because our keys been deactivated and we need to see the front desk at first. They were completely confused and then they said oh you weren’t supposed to be in that room so initially I think that’s my fault and that I was just on the wrong floor when I went up to my room the second time so we go to the next floor that they have us assigned to, and that is not our room, but we go back downstairs to ultimately find out that they had assigned us one room, but put in the system that we belong on another floor So while at dinner, they gave another couple a key to our room where our belongings were it was an exhausting evening, and I can’t say that we will be back

The facilities at the Tulsa Hyatt Place were fine--the rooms are what you expect from a Hyatt, and the location was convenient for my trip. However, management really needs to rethink their check-in policies. I arrived early and was told I would have to pay an extra fee to get into my room, even though it was already cleaned and ready to go. Historically, hotels offer early check-in as a courtesy if they have the availability, so being charged extra for it leaves a bad taste in your mouth right at the start of the trip. Pretty hotel, but the rigid fee structure makes it feel much less hospitable.

We had an amazing view out of our 10th story room, the bed was hard to leave in the morning-It was so cozy! The coffee/food at the continental breakfast was surprisingly good and the atmosphere was modern in design. Would stay here again!
