Great family park in San Angelo, Texas. Conveniently located beside Hwy 67/Loop 306 just west of downtown in a quiet residential area. Play equipment for children includes a modern play structure with pea gravel base, along with vintage see saws, a slide, climbing structure and swings in grassy area. There were many picnic tables and at least two charcoal grills. Handicapped accessible and street level parking. There were tennis and basketball courts and a bathroom on west end of park. There were benches for sitting and a bike rack near north entrance. A small cement walking/jogging path surrounds play area. Several mesquite trees were able to be climbed and there was plenty of room for little ones to run. There are no mountains to view but before urban development one could see San Angelo’s landmark Twin Buttes to the west. A great place to stop if you need to stretch your legs, let the kids play or eat a picnic when traveling through San Angelo on Hwy 67. Fast food is three blocks to the south of park on Sherwood Way. Highly recommend
