I was amazed by the different gallery of paintings and art displays at the shop. The owner was really accommodating and friendly to take me a short tour about the different displays. It’s just sad to know when he mentioned of thinking about closing the shop. What a sad news indeed!

These people suck. bought and paid for an aurora light art print. more than $1,000. Told us we would receive one from the artist. They refused to ship the one from the wall. Well, that was in July. It is September and we have not received our art. I would not recommend buying from these people. they suck!!,

Highly recommend this art gallery! It's one of the best in Alaska! Such beautiiful and diverse art from Alaskan artists. And the owner is so gracious and welcoming and knowledgable. Don't leave Anchorage without stopping by Aurora Gallery!

We are so glad we found Aurora! This is a well established, family run gallery. They have relationships with their artists, who are local Alaskans, and know the stories behind each work of art. Everything else we saw in downtown Anchorage was touristy stuff that you can find anywhere. Aurora has high quality, unique paintings, carvings, sculptures, etc. Gallery items are created by Alaskan artists and the works represent Alaska. We really enjoyed meeting the owners and hearing their stories about the artists they represent and the pieces in the gallery. We won’t visit Anchorage without stopping at Aurora!

This is miscategorized. It is a place that sells art. While it is great art connected to the Alaska experience it is NOT a museum
