We have traveled on guided trips with Overseas Adventure Travel, Railbookers and many other tour companies and this trip (a pre-Royal Caribbean inland tour of Alaska) was just as well structured, planned and executed as any tour before. Our guide Scott, was funny, friendly at any moment, professional, caring and always prepared. During the motor coach portions of this trip, Scott was humorous with his local knowledgeable, and because this trip traveled through his home territory it made the trip even better. We made unique stops at places an average guide would never have known about. Our luggage was never a thought for us, picked up at our room every day and delivered at the next every evening. I was on a tour with Odysseys Unlimited ( Alaska’s Untamed Wilderness) - Our Bus Driver was Patrick, he is a very safe and dependable driver. The amount of care he takes while driving is exceptional. While entering and exiting the coach he is outside the doorway helping you off and on, he even holds an umbrella if the rain starts! His history of Alaska and its highways is remarkable. His explanations of the area are wonderful, along with his French accent! Atigun was the name of the bus he drove, a freshly cleaned bus for 11 days!,

I participated in a land tour operated by Premier Alaska Tours following a Norwegian Cruise Line trip in August 2025, and my experience raises serious safety concerns.On the first day of the tour, I fell while exiting the bus due to a significant and unsafe drop-off between the bus step and the ground (transition from blacktop to gravel). There was no clear warning or adequate assistance provided to passengers when disembarking.As a direct result of this fall, I required a 2.5-hour ambulance transport to Fairbanks, where I underwent medical treatment including stitches and a CT scan. This incident not only caused physical injury but also completely disrupted my trip.Equally concerning was the lack of meaningful support or follow-up from Premier Alaska Tours after the incident. Given the severity of what occurred, I expected a higher level of care, responsiveness, and accountability.I would strongly encourage future travelers—especially older adults or those with mobility concerns—to ask detailed questions about safety procedures, passenger assistance, and emergency response protocols before booking.

⭐ 1 Star – Premium Price, Budget Experience – Very DisappointingOur August 2025 Alaska trip was meant to be a highlight of the year. The cruise portion delivered—but the land tour organized by Premium Alaska Tour was a complete letdown and unfortunately overshadowed the end of our trip.From the moment we disembarked, the experience lacked professionalism and organization. We were transported by bus and later informed that once we reached Fairbanks, we would essentially be on our own. This was never clearly communicated in advance and is not what one expects when booking a structured land tour.The accommodations were equally disappointing. The hotel was below standard—closer to a 2-star property—and did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness or comfort.The dining experience was even more concerning. Meals were handled through a food truck ratherq than a proper dining facility. Breakfast in particular was unacceptable: cold, rubbery bacon, barely warm eggs, and plain white bread that wasn’t even toasted. For a paid tour experience, this level of quality is simply not acceptable.Overall, this felt like a cost-cutting operation where customer experience was not the priority. After investing in what was marketed as a premium travel experience, the reality did not match expectations.I hope Premium Alaska Tour takes this feedback seriously and improves both transparency and quality for future travelers.Based on our experience, I cannot recommend the land tour portion.

Premier Alaska Tours Angie E and DavidWe had a post cruise extension with Viking Ocean Cruises called Natural Alaska and they use Premier Alaska to coordinate the 6 day trip. The minute my wife and I met Angie E. (tour director) and David (the driver) we knew instantly there was going to be a connection with them both. My wife and I are both former middle school teachers and facilitated countless field trips (overnight included) for over 120 kids. Now let’s face it corralling adults is harder than middle schoolers. Everything Angie did was of the utmost organized level. She a was always proactive in anticipating potential problems and quickly addressing them. She always made the call to the restaurant or tour venue alerting them to our arrival so they were ready to welcome us. Angie E made sure she got the room keys for every guest every night so they would not have to stand in line at the hotel reception desk. And to boot she did it all with an incredibly pleasant attitude. David and Angie are locals and love to show off their country and extremely knowledgeable of the areas you visit. David was cautious, safe, kind and very friendly. They both were quite accommodating our group and created a true culture of family within our 26 travelers. They need to use them both as a model for their service! You will not be disappointed actually you’ll be thanking them for a lifetime of memories.
