Catholic Social Services put my dad here after being released from the hospital. I am removing my father from this place. The manager smelled of alcohol. The room smelled of smoke and there was needle caps and trash everywhere (after the manager cleaned ! I asked if there were cleaner rooms; he responded this is the nice room! I’m done

Bset Place to stay on a budget, Manager was awesome! Close to the Anchorage Cultural Museum. I stayed there for three nights. It was BETTER than the very expensive Lodge I went to very FAR out on the Alaskan Peninsula! That was about the quality of the fishing. But the sleeping etc., was rough!

We didnt get to stay (cancelled flights) but the managers were very helpful working easily through email and I thank them for working with us. So many places are nkt able to respond well when travellers are in a jam so we are grateful for the good service

Well I'm new to traveling other than fire so I thought I'd give this guy the benefit of the doubt until I saw the price for a room was raised from 89.00-98.00 a night, and that so many negative reviews were posted I feel like I need to say this. If you wanna keep reading my post after my advice go ahead, there isn't much to add. If you come across a place like this don't put a passive aggressive post on here saying there's bugs or this or that. If a place is really this bad(and it IS) this is what you do: Call the better business bureau and give them the hotel's info Ask them to do a welfare check Say there are disadvantaged homeless being mistreated there(because they are) Call the health department, just mention bugs and your room number they'll get to work. Call the human right association, their right in anchorage. Just say you'd like to make a friendly complaint and explain your stay there AND give them the hotel's info. Call the city and make a friendly complaint to the mayor AND his aide/secretary(more likely to get seen if you contact both) Call the state troopers. Say are disadvantaged homeless being mistreated there and ask them to do a welfare check. Call HUD. See you the hotel's building codes are up to HUD building standards Long story short traveled down with my gf to anchorage to see her family on our vacation. Hit a dry patch where we had nowhere but this place to stay for the night. Got there at 10pm the room was sketchy and smelled but we both checked for bugs and didn't see any. My lady wakes me up at 1:30 to inform me there are bugs in the room. I get up and see a few, so I tell you to turn the key in while I pack everything away. She comes back with a bottle of chemicals I've never seen and says the landlord(some Asian dude) was gonna call the cops if we didn't stay in a room we already paid for!! Half asleep I take my stud and leave dropping the doorkey in the guys hand as we peeled out of there. I mean he literally blocked off both exits with sawhorses so I had to hit the curb just to get him the keys. I've heard horror stories but damn!!
