Trashy place. Toilet holder ripped off the wall and gone. Patch work is definitely not done by a professional. Fan missing in the ceiling in the bathroom so just a hole in the ceiling, sketchy. Roaches, people hanging outside all night, dim lighting. Not even a 1 star hotel. It looks like a place that people live at, very trashy. Front desk lady was nice but that's where it ends. They also have a sign that says no visitors, if you are caught with visitors you'll be asked to leave, no refunds not sure if they are a prison but I can visit with anybody I want. Usually people staying at a hotel near a military base are visiting and they WILL have a visitor.

This is a typical 2-star level motel, and I rated it as such. One site incorrectly lists this as a 3-star level property, and if that's what you're expecting, you will be sorely disappointed.Got $50/night through the Hopper app.PROS:---------(1) Room has fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, hair dryer, ironing board, iron.(2) Laminate floor, not carpet (easier to clean)(3) Nice crown moulding(4) Walking distance to lots of restaurants. HEB 3 miles away.CONS:----------(1) Floor was filthy. I wiped the whole thing down with a hand towel and it turned black.(2) Smoke alarm disconnected. Straight up illegal.(3) Door isn't tight to the frame, because the strikeplate isn't positioned properly. This means there's a gap around the door, which lets bugs and hot/cold air through. Hence the sign at reception, No refund will be given for cricket in room.(4) Tub stopper missing. Impossible to take a bath. For that matter, the sink stopper was also missing.(5) Ceiling repair done badly. Someone was too lazy (or unskilled) to even spray it with a can of popcorn texture.(6) Paint on walls is chipped in multiple places, stain on bathtub.There was a safe in the room but it's not operational because the batteries are dead.

Words cannot accurately depict this craphole. From some unknown substance on the nightstand, unpainted, horrible drywall patches, cigarette stains in the tub, the mini fridge sounds like a jet engine, all the light bulbs had been stolen, dog crap all over the area to the horrendous loudness. Not sure how this was rated near 4 stars. Look elsewhere and pay a bit more. Leaving this white trash hotel as soon as I can book another and I will pay more.

I want to write the positive first, the ladies on the staff that I met were friendly and helpful. Be aware that there is street traffic noise and you won’t be able to sleep late. The door didn’t seal all the way around (picture below) so noise and light come through the openings around the door. Someone left clothes pins on the lamp shade (thank you) we used them to close the curtain, it helped some. I do believe there is a law requiring smoke detectors (see picture below), I guess someone removed it and housekeeper noticed. The carpet has a lot of stains (pictures included) and the furniture is dated. The chair is well worn, stained and dirty, way past due to replace it. There a little sign with pricing for the towels and linens letting you know how much they charge if you take them or you can buy from the hotel; I have no idea who would want them since they are cheap linens and towels but to each there own. If you need more than 2 bath towels, one hand towel and a wash cloth then you have to go to the desk so they can write it dow, never had that happen before. The bathroom door would not close at all.They really need to gut this place and clean it up, bring slippers or shower shoes to wear in the room.The ladies I met on the staff were friendly.

Mi Mi at the front counter was extremely helpful and nice. Checking in was quick and easy. The rooms were very clean and the bed!!!! OMG the bed was big and super comfortable. After a lomg drive and dealing with traffic I couldn't have asked for a better place to rest. In the morning I was greeted by a very welcoming face and a hot Texas shaped Texas size waffle. Delicious Folgers coffee and a muffin for the road. All in all Hill Country Inn and Suites in Copperas Cove Texas is Five Star
