Reviews
tripadvisorOur best accommodations in Alaska. We stayed 2 nights. The entire top floor of the house is a separate 3 bedroom apartment that includes a living room and kitchen. The apartment has a separate entrance. The host is very pleasant. We appreciated the little extras we found at this accommodation - the use of a washer and dryer, an outdoor patio, coffee available in the kitchen, visitor information. Will definitely stay here again!
More1. This hotel was actually good, my only reason for lowering the rating was that we had to keep asking each day for the room to be cleaned. 2. Breakfast was excellent. 3. Staff was all good all the time.
MoreWe stayed in the Russian Room @ Anchorage Walkabout Town on the lower floor, which had a private bathroom just outside the door. A curtain separated our space from the shared kitchen and sitting area, but it still felt very private. Our host, Scott kindly let us use the washer and dryer too, which was a big help.We borrowed a couple of bikes and rode into town for lunch, then along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail all the way to the airport to watch planes land—apparently a favorite pastime for many locals. The nearby park even had live music during our visit, which was a nice surprise. Comfortable bed, great location in a real Anchorage home, and friendly, helpful hosts. Scott was a great communicator and made everything easy. Highly recommend.
MoreA very comfortable place to make our hub while in Anchorage! Comfortable space, great host (Scott) and very relaxing. We used Uber to get around and it worked perfectly. We were on our own after seven days of cruising and it was a great transition. Wonderful restaurants, walking around, close enough to walk downtown. We’d stay again!
MoreExcellent. The Stimsons are consummate hosts. Great location, clean and well kept. Great breakfast - though not cooked to order but fresh coffee, boiled eggs, granola, fresh fruit, yogurt etc. - more than we could eat! If could give 6 stars I would.
