tripadvisorAbsolutely one of the best experiences you can have! Our guide, Fred and his team ensured we had all the layers to keep us warm (you can be as bulky as you want under the dry suits). Lots of wildlife, up close glaciers and waterfalls with all questions answered knowledgably. Truly will remember for the rest of our lives.
MoreOur glacier and iceberg jet ski tour in Whittier was one of the most unforgettable adventures of our Alaska trip! My husband and I went with another couple, and despite the rainy weather (which is pretty typical for Alaska this time of year), we weren’t about to let that stop us from having an amazing experience.A quick tip for future travelers: be sure to read the emails the company sends beforehand, especially the information about the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel. We experienced delays getting into Whittier and ended up arriving late, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and still made sure we had the full experience. Each of us rode our own jet ski, and while the water was pretty choppy at times, our guide, Bryce, was fantastic. I was definitely the nervous one in the group, but he made me feel safe, checked in on me throughout the tour, and kept a pace that was comfortable while still making the adventure exciting. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. We rode right up to towering glaciers, admired the vibrant blue ice, and even had the incredible opportunity to stand on an actual iceberg—something I’ll never forget! One thing I especially appreciated was that Bryce took photos and videos of us throughout the entire excursion. Since you’re busy driving a jet ski, it’s nearly impossible to capture those moments yourself, so having those memories professionally documented meant so much. He knew all the best spots and made sure we left with incredible keepsakes from the day.Bryce’s enthusiasm, positive energy, and passion for what he does truly made this experience special. Between the stunning scenery, the thrill of riding through Prince William Sound, and the outstanding customer service, this tour was easily one of the highlights of our Alaska vacation.10/10—highly recommend! I would absolutely do this tour again.
MoreHere are the reasons why you’re going to have so much fun on your Alaska Glacier JetSki tour with Alaska wild guides1. They will provide all the gear required for warmth and safety. We had 5 of our own layers underneath the insulated suits and booties etc but they will give you more if they think you’re not going to be warm enough. We got some extra wool socks which I thought was overkill but trust Fred, he knew what was needed!2. Fred (assisted by Jacob and Connor) was our guide and had the right mix of commentary vs letting us admire the amazing scenery in quiet awe. He was also great at assessing our experience and letting us go as fast as he thought we would be comfortable.. we had so much fun going fast ( for me anyway) on the way back!!3. It’s so amazing nosing through blurgy bits and growlers and skirting around bigger stuff. 4. Enjoy the probably once in a lifetime chance to get up close to 2 majestic glaciers. The silence is golden and then to hear the cracking that echoed and the thundering of even the smallest calving of ice ….going to stay us forever!5. Seeing seals in their environment…lots on a large float and then even better a Mum and her baby on a small ice float by the glacier. We would never have seen it ourselves . thanks Fred!I could go on, but pretty much the best thing I can say about the trip is that we all individually thought this was our favourite excursion on our 14 day Alaska cruise ( Skagway rail and bikeway was a fun runner up!)It was expensive for us ( we’re from little NZ) but it was so worth it!
MoreWe had the best time, Bryce and Jacob took us on a great ride! Would highly recommend!
MoreThis is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! My guide Alex was extremely knowledgeable, fun and helpful, who made sure that I felt safe on the machine and enjoyed every bit of the absolutely stunning journey. He also took great photos and even went out of his way when I wanted to come closer to a waterfall and he brought me there ( which he didn’t have to do but did anyway)! The scenery was amazing and we spot some animals floating around. The glacier is mesmerizing and the freedom you feel when you’re surrounded by ice and nature is incredible! The best part is the jumping tho! Absolutely worth it and the adrenaline rush is something else! 100% recommend if you’re visiting Alaska, not only the tour but the overall service and staff at Alaska Wild Guides make your experience personal and unforgettable!
