I’ve been to Spavia for a massage on a few occasions. I am a man and generally feel more comfortable with a male therapist for a deep tissue massage. I had a good rapport with one therapist who is no longer there. On my third visit to him that rapport took a turn when he offered to provide some “off menu services” at the end of the massage. I was shocked, and embarrassed. I let it slide, did not report it but should have. I even left a gratuity as not to raise suspicions. I did nothing to solicit this behavior and even returned to Spavia and other therapists who were professional.The first therapist was gone shortly after my experience: I don’t know he left of his own accord on was fired because some one else reported him. I chose to believe his actions were no a reflection of Spavia. Recently however I’ve noted a significant lack of trading of staff, ambivalence, and a disregard for me as a client. In recent retrospect i now connect the lack of oversight and care to my experience with this therapist. The ownership may claim ignorance but that is not an excuse.
