This is one of the worst venues I’ve experienced when it comes to parking. I’ve now attended multiple events here and each time traffic is backed up nearly 2 miles to get into the parking lot. The reason? They have ONE, yes ONE person who is collecting parking fees for every car that’s entering. For this latest event we had reserved/pre-paid for “premium” parking. The line for the pre-paid parking entrance was once again nearly 2 miles long and took us over 45 minutes sitting in traffic to get into the lot. (Not sure why the city of Boise even allows this as it impedes traffic). Once we arrived at the one person who was checking that everyone had pre-paid for parking, we were told that the premium lot was “full”. Nobody could explain why they had sold more premium parking than they had spots available. Nobody knew who we needed to talk to about a refund. They were all clueless. After we finally found a place to park, we were walking to the arena and we found that there were 6 empty spaces in the premium lot that were blocked off by cones. So they’re charging for a service that they then refuse to deliver. Overall, I would recommend NOT attending an event at this venue as you’ll need to add at least an hour to your travel time to get into the parking lot, all so that Boise State can collect their absurdly high parking fees. Maybe they should invest some of that money that they’re collecting into a better parking management system? Most venues have an automated gate that you can either take a ticket, or you can scan your prepaid pass to enter. Those are clearly more effective at keeping traffic flowing and would be a massive improvement over the joke of a system that they currently have at the Extra Mile Arena.

Attended many sporting events, concerts, etc., in this arena (formerly Taco Bell Arena). Great venue for Boise State University and the city of Boise.
