There are plenty of fossils to examine! The gentleman working there was very informative and passionate about each piece in the store! There is a range of affordable and pricey items. When you make a purchase, you also get a certificate of authenticity!

On vacation in Galveston, my husband and I were strolling the streets in the Arts District when he disappeared from view. I found him in this Fossil Shop browsing some very cool museum quality fossils displayed as works of art. It’s worth the time to take a few minutes to walk in and see real fossils and dinosaur bones. The owner was very welcoming and took the time to explain the treasures he had in his shop to include some fascinating stories about his work. I could tell he enjoyed talking about it and he was not the least bit pushy in trying to get us to buy anything. There are various sizes and prices from $10 on up to thousands of dollars for one-of-a-kind pieces. The fish fossils are very unique and come in various sizes. We enjoyed this little surprise in the Arts District!
