Jerry Smith Park is a native prairie preserve that provides unusual calm close to an urban area. A nice trail makes for an enjoyable walk or cross country run. Being a prairie not much shade is available. Low area of the trail may be muddy if it has rained recently. Ample parking space and a portable toilet are available at the trailhead.
