Hidden Valley Park comprises of a variety facilities including a Disc golf course, a playground, a large picnic shelter, and a native uncut forest preserve. The forest preserve is the largest part and comprises of a dirt trail loop that is more than three miles long. The trail is used for hiking and mountain biking. It is easily navigable as long the grounds are dry; if wet, some sections could be slippery and at some places the drop offs to the gullies are pretty deed. The loop trail enters the forest after a short walk from the parking lot, and then onwards it is mostly through a forest and so remains shady. The trail is well marked with mile markers every half mile. The single track trail goes up and down valleys and hills quite frequently. Wooden bridges are provided to cross creeks at two places. Along the trail, there is an old platform built out to look into the canyon, but it is not in good condition and access is closed. When the loop hike is completed, one is sure to have gotten a good workout. Depending on the season, one should be prepared for insects. Paved parking is available at the trailhead, but there are no toilet or water facilities.
