Aviles Street is the oldest continuously inhabited European street in the Americas. Excavations under Aviles Street have confirmed its providence and it has shown that it harkens back to at least the late 16th Century, quite possibly even during the establishment of the city in 1565. Its age notwithstanding, Aviles Street is still very quaint today, where visitors will find that it's filled with shops, restaurants and historic architecture galore. Some of the highlights include the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, the O'Reilly House and the Spanish Military Hospital Museum.
