Notarization by NYSVirtualNotary, one of the first Virtual/Remote Notaries Public in NYS. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, under a State of Emergency declared by Governor Cuomo, and an Executive Order, we were allowed to remotely notarize documents. That ended in June 2021. On December 22nd, 2021, Governor Kathy Hochul signed into law Senate Bill 1780-C, which establishes that notarial acts can again be performed electronically, subject to certain requirements. While the New York's Department of State has until January 31, 2023 to define those requirements and create the necessary systems to support Remote Online Notarizations (RON) by New York's Notaries Public, Remote Ink Notarizations (RIN), as they were done under Executive Order during the COVID-19 Pandemic, are again permitted within New York State. We are available for travel notarizations in New York and Westchester Counties.
