Dropped in with a few friends during Mardi Gras time this year - what fun! Friendly staff, plenty to see, and it's not like you have to buy something expensive or even buy at all. Of course I'm sure they'd be happy you purchased a keepsake (I still want the Texas china in the photo I attached!) , but if not, just have a good time perusing around all the items and remembering years past.

In every city or town I visit, whether for business or pleasure, I make it my business to find this store--you know, the one with aisles and aisles of booths featuring vintage collectibles, memorabilia and antiques for sale by different vendors, all under one roof. Magazine Antique Mall is among the very best I've ever found. Everything is beautifully laid out and in good, very good or excellent condition (no junk). What's more, the prices are absolutely reasonable, more so than in similar stores I've visited. The big plusses here are the location in the pretty Garden District, a welcome respite from the crowded, noisy French Quarter (I could walk along Magazine Street forever and feel like I was in heaven); and the staff, which was so lovely and welcoming. The ladies behind the counter made me feel right at home, and were so helpful as well. I know it's a bit of a trek from the Quarter where most visitors stay to Magazine Street in the Garden District, but I'm so glad I made the trip to spend an afternoon here, and the Antique Mall was definitely among the highlights!

Great place to walk around & look. There's TONS of real cool items but way too overpriced. Really disappointed with that fact.

I just don't understand what makes a rusted tin bread box worth $235 dollars, or what makes a random old key $5. Confused.

This store is nice for antiques and it takes you back in time. You have to ask the women in the front to open the displays in order to see anything. Prices vary and depend since they come from different vendors. The lady in front with long black hair was in a bad moody.
