tripadvisorI visited Columbus Circle with my wife in December 2025. It's right at the corner of Central Park, with the monument, fountains and shops around. In December it has a nice holiday feeling.
MoreColumbus Circle is a beautiful and lively place in the city center with plenty of options for relaxation and entertainment. I liked its connection to Central Park and the overall atmosphere. The fountain, greenery, and city buzz create a great combination. It’s an ideal place to start or end your New York tour. Nice statues and always full of life.
MoreThis is one of the major intersections in the city, where several big streets come together. And it is at the southwest corner of Central Park. A big shopping center was recently built here with high-end stores. You will also find hotels and a big column in the center of the traffic circle.
MoreI've been coming to Columbus Circle for years, and it's always an exciting place to visit. There's an energy here that I love, and the high-end shopping mall is also a great place to visit (although I miss the Borders Bookstore that used to be here). Columbus Circle sits at a major entrance to Central Park, so sometimes I'll come here to wander through the park and then come get a coffee from this area. It's a very busy area, so be mindful of the crowds, and the rotary can be challenging to cross. This is a great place to visit during the holidays as well, as they decorate with a lot of lights. The Whole Foods here is also popular.
MoreThere's a lot to explore on the west side of Midtown. It was less crazy with crowds than the East Side when we were in town. Many options to see the performance arts as well as a variety of restaurants to try out.
