Nevadaville Ghost Town
Landmark
Nestled in the state of Colorado, Nevadaville was popularly known as Nevada City between the 1860s and the 1870s. This mining town was established in the year 1859 after John H. Gregory found gold here. This old town flourished until 1900, after which it saw a downward decline. All that remained of this old town are the city hall, general stores, masonic lodges and more. Since these historic buildings are part of the private property, this ghost town is not open to visitors who want to explore these buildings. However, visitors can take a walk along this old town and learn about its history.
