Reviews
tripadvisorThe cockroaches did it for me. When I stepped into the bathroom and saw 5 or 6 scatter itnto the door jam I was convinced not to stay here again. Beds were too hard as well. I do not recommend.
MoreVery good stay overall. The hotel is convenient to several restaurants within walking distance. There is plenty of parking and the area seemed to be very safe. The rooms are a bit dated, but hotel appears to be well maintained. The breakfast was good and there is a large bar. All of the employees were very friendly as well. There are a few parking spots reserved for Diamond Members. The gym is decent sized, but there is only one treadmill, which was frequently being used. There is a Peloton bike but is isn't working.
MoreThe staff is amazing. Very clean rooms. The bed is the worst mattress I have ever slept on. Might as well sleep on the hard floor. After one night I went and bought a mattress pad for the second night.
MoreThe hotels in Midland prices can be crazy depending on the Oil and Gas industry, supply and demand. I paid $322 a night at this HGI. You will get warm water, but you will not get hot water. They said they purchased new boilers and it's being worked on, but the property also didn't have hot water when I stayed here 4 months ago. The room was clean but there was exposed rust on the floor in the bathroom and the hall was a mess, pics included.
MoreBased on my experience, DO NOT STAY HERE! The worst check out experience of my entire travel history. With 5M+ air miles and 1M+ hotel points, as well as being a Hilton Gold Elite member, it is hard to imagine or describe the painful 40 minute check out experience over a missing breakfast credit. The front desk representative has no business at the front of the house or engaging with the public. She managed to make a simple adjustment into an escalated horrible experience. While trying to check out, I showed her the conditions from the Hilton Honors website. Contacted Hilton customer service who agreed that I was correct, who then spoke with the front desk rep and even though see promised to fix the problem, never issued the credit. To make matters worse, I spoke with the General Manager a few weeks later who assured me everything would be fixed including addressing her staff issues. Well 2 months later, including a second call to Hilton customer service with many promises and no action. If you are looking for bad attitudes and broken promises, this is your place.
