As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I expected basic safety, privacy, and respectful treatment at Hyatt House San Jose Cupertino. My stay in October 2026 fell far below those expectations, and the distress did not end when I checked out.After reporting excessive HVAC noise, I waited more than 30 minutes to move to another room. Shortly after I entered the new room, other guests unlocked the door with their own key cards and walked in while I was inside. The hotel had assigned the same room to two different parties.A front desk supervisor then opened my door without my consent, aggressively told me to leave, and blamed me for the hotel's mistake. How could I have entered the room if the hotel hadn't given me the key? When I asked for an explanation and apology the following day, he argued with me publicly at the front desk for nearly an hour. Being shouted at when I was trying to resolve a problem the hotel had created was deeply upsetting.The impact has continued after my stay. I frequently have nightmares about being shouted at in the hotel and wake up startled. This experience has affected my sleep and my sense of safety long after checkout.The Front Office Manager later apologized and acknowledged that I should not have been treated this way. I escalated the complaint to Hyatt Corporate, but the outcome was only a few points. I do not feel this adequately addresses either the room-access failure or the lasting distress caused by the staff's conduct.Globalist or not, every guest deserves a private room and respectful treatment. After this experience and the response to my complaint, my trust in Hyatt has really been seriously damaged.

Be warned about the nasty, threatening notices they leave on your car, threatening to tow it if a parking pass is not displayed in the window. Has it ever occurred to management that someone might arrive late and simply forget to put the pass in the window? That was exactly our situation, even though we had paid for parking. The lack of consideration and the hostile approach toward paying guests are unacceptable.To make matters worse, the halls and our room smelled like dog urine, and the sheets looked as though they had not even been changed when we checked in. We also had to wait a couple of hours for a room, which is completely ridiculous.The property is clearly going downhill. Even one of the computers has been removed because it did not work, and apparently replacing it is too much to ask. Between the poor cleanliness, excessive wait times, deteriorating facilities, and hostile parking policies, this property has become a major disappointment. Management needs to take a hard look at the condition of this place and how it treats its paying guests. Based on our experience, this is not a property I would recommend.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable with an amazing free breakfast! Made to order omelettes at a free breakfast?!?! Salsas were particularly good— apparently they’re house made. Games and books available in lobby too. At the intersection represented by the MAPS icon of iPhone.

A very pleasant stay in Hyatt House hotel. Fulfilled all my needs for my recent Business trip.The Gym and Pool were a great addition.

I stay at the Hyatt House San Jose/Cupertino regularly and it is always a great experience. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed and the staff are consistently friendly and very accommodating. It is also a very dog-friendly property. I think my dog enjoys the hotel and the team there as much as I do. Can't recommend this property enough.
