This statue of prominent Dallas businessman, publisher, and civic leader (1859-1946) situated in centre of Dealey Plaza. It is flanked by rectangular fountain pools and backed by a column lined structure. The statue is the work of Felix W. de Weldon and was erected in 1948. What you see is a bronze of a late middle-aged Dealey in business suit with his right and open as if engaged in conversation. The statue stands upon a granite pedestal with Dealey's engraved name. Behind is a short curved granite wall with bas reliefs reflecting moments of Dealey's life.
