We stopped by the Meridian Idaho Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We walked around the grounds to enjoy the beautiful building and landscaping. It is truly a beautiful and peaceful place. Although we are members of the LDS church, we did not have time to attend, but thoroughly enjoyed our walk and the peaceful place it provides in the midst of a busy city.

MoreThe ground are so peaceful. A great place to sit and ponder, or to walk around and enjoy the beauty. You can go alone, take someone special or share it with your little ones. I have been many times, normally with my wife or children. The view is amazing, since it sits on top of a hill. I have enjoyed it in the summer, winter, spring and fall.

Covid-19 precautions made it necessary to lock the gates and limit guests from walking the grounds for a time; hopefully those days are now in the past.There are several benches from which to ponder life's journey while experiencing the peaceful aura and visual feast found here. Landscaping includes many different types of plants, flowers, shrubbery and trees plus a large reflecting pond. The site also provides picturesque views of the Boise River to the north.Although only recommended church members can enter the building itself, everyone can enjoy a peaceful walk around this House of God and feel God's presence near this Holy Temple.
