tripadvisorMy husband and I went to McGregor Park on a Wednesday afternoon in November. The park is a US Army Corp of Engineers Park. It is a fairly large park with lots of shoreline along Lake Belton. The park has about 6 grills with benches and a one lane concrete boat ramp. There are no picnic tables. The grills are very close to the water edge. We met a friendly security guy driving around in the park. Only one other person (a fisherman) was in the park. The restrooms were in a building raised a foot off the ground and with open gables. That made it safe for blowing out Covid-19 germs. The restrooms had outhouse toilets, no plumbing, no sinks. The Temple Radio Control Model Airfield is in the park. No one was flying airplanes when we were there. Camping is not allowed. No campfires. No Off-Road vehicles, no fireworks. Pets must be on a leash. The park has a good dirt road. The park is free.
