Cayuga lake is one of the largest of the Finger Lakes and arguably the most scenic. It is a popular visitor attraction being regularly used for swimming, boating, fishing and other outdoor activities throughout the spring to autumn months. For those wishing to be less active and see more of the scenic qualities the Lake has to offer, the Cayuga Lake scenic byway is an 87-mile loop surrounding Cayuga Lake. The byway features scenic views of the lake and its shores, rural and woodland landscapes and numerous historic, natural, and cultural attractions. Well worth a visit for an enjoyable drive.

Great Beach area and picnic area.

Beautiful lake with parks for access. There are boat tours which provide a nice experience.

We staid outside of Ithaca over the 4th of July & wanted to see all that was available in this area. It is a little more reasonable priced than Seneca lake but offers much of the same amenities. Cayuga is the original wine trail. Too many wineries to mention, but also distillery, brewery & cider house along the way. Stewart park has kayak rentals & Cass park has swimming. Taughannock state park is a gem!!

Very scenic! There's an amazing cider house near by - the Finger Lakes Cider House. Don't forget to check that out. Also, if you're visiting in the Fall, bring a jacket!
