We are just finishing an absolutely amazing two night stay at the George Manor bed and breakfast. The hotel was originally built in 1865 and has been tastefully, and elegantly, preserved. We stayed in the grand suite, which included a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom. It was perfect. My wife, and I, are in our low 70s and have traveled extensively. We have stayed in some really nice places, but have never experienced the kind of service like we did at the George Manor. Everybody went out of their way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable, and memorable. George Manor, the owner, picked us up and the cruise port, and gave us a tour of Galveston on the way to the hotel. Rosi made sure that our room was perfect. Micheal is an excellent chef, and gave us a personal tour of the hotel after breakfast. We do hesitate to give this hotel and excellent review. Our stay was outstanding. Yours will be too.

It was so great! I would’ve never stayed here if I didn’t get such a deal, but I would definitely pay full price! Staff was great, accommodations were 5 stars, and the grounds were beautiful

We were absolutely blown away by the accommodations and hospitality ! From making the reservation to after we checked out, they were beyond amazing. And the food, my goodness ! Do yourself a favor and reserve dinner there, Chef Michael has a true gift ! And don’t skip their breakfast either. We booked another stay before we ever left. Such an amazing place and people !

If you want a 5 star hotel, there are plenty to choose from. But if want to experience the charm of a historic and absolutely beautiful home, stay here! The staff are welcoming and are always asking if u need anything. The breakfasts were simply delicious and abundant! The room was comfortable and clean. The location is within walking distance to the Strand and just short ride to the beach. We love Galveston and The George Manor!
