This 2 hour narrated tour of the Homosassa river and surrounding area was very informative. The Captain and mate work together to ensure a cohesive experience. I highly recommend this if you live in the area or are visiting. Be sure to make a reservation as the price is unbeatable.

Returned from a fabulous 3 hr. boat trip on the beautiful Homosassa River today. Capt.Joe and first mate Janey are fountains ofinformation about the wild life, the history of the area, the people, Monkey Island, triviaof the fantastic “Nature Coast!” and more.Saw many manatees with their babies, dolphins, turtles, 3 monkeys on an amazing island, birds of all kinds, shrimp boats, and more. There were 6 of us and all weremesmerized by what we had seen and the knowledge of Capt. Joe and Janey!

Captain Joe and his mate gave us a wonderful 2 hour tour.. they are very knowledgeable about the wildlife and local history. It was fun and light hearted as well as educational. The weather was perfect with a warm breeze washing over us. We saw many different kinds of birds, dolphins, manatee, turtles and of course the monkeys on Monkey Island. I would recommend this tour to everyone. It’s well worth the reasonable price.

It is a wonderful boatride. I have gone four times, two in April and one more to go when my grandson and his girlfriend visit at the end of the month. It is a must on my list when my family comes to visit. Joe is an excellent captain and very knowledgeable about the places we pass and the history of the area. I have had Lorena and Jane and one other young man showing everyone the places we pass and the history and all three are very entertaining while doing so.
