This is Tattered Cover's Union Station location, NOT the main one. Don't let this be your impression of Tattered Cover - it is a very, very small bookstore in the corner of a train station without much selection. The main location has MUCH more and is worth going to, but if you are desperate for a book, you could try this location.

Nice small book shop in the main train station. Lady was helpful with some recommendations including local writers.

Perfect location for this little bookstore! They allow only a few people in at a time, which I sincerely appreciated, because it allowed me time to appreciate everything the store has to offer without being rushed out of there just to avoid the elbow to elbow crowds while shopping; it happens often in some small stores. The line of people going in and coming out moved steadily, so no problem with wait time either. The clerk was friendly and attentive without making us feel rushed. Whether you are looking for the latest read, a book bag, a new travel mug, souvenirs, greeting cards, or postcards you are sure to find it here just as quickly as I did! Loving the tee-shirt!

This is a great local book store in Union Station. You can browse here before of after dining in one of the great restaurants.

I was in town on business, and realized an author I like was doing a book signing here. Decided to attend and got there shortly before 7P (on a Wed). The place was packed (woah, way more people than I expected), and they had already sold out of the book (frowny-face). There was a worker bee dude passing out sticker bookplates so those of us that lucked out could still get an autograph and put it in our copy of the book (or not). Good backup plan! The ability to hear the author was helped with microphones and speakers (yay!), and the store stayed open long enough for everyone to get their book/plate signed (double yay!). The staff was very friendly and efficient. I appreciated their efforts in making the excursion a success!
