I have been a Home inspector for the past 20 years. In addition I have been an active real estate investor during this time, and have bought, renovated and sold many properties ranging from condos, houses, and multi family units. This has given me a wealth of knowledge as it resulted from learning first hand the construction side of the business and how each component works, when it does not, and how to fix it. The information most important to a client is the condition of the property and if it is well maintained or will need extensive work.
