tripadvisorThis one made me sad. I love a beautiful sculpture. We pulled up and noticed some people who looked like they weren't there for the art. We did not feel safe going into the park and just stayed by the street.
MoreWe did this walk a couple of times and took pictures of all the sculptures. Being right along the river it was an enjoyable walk. Some parts have shade, but it is fairly open to the sun. A great thing to see if you’re in the mood for a walk.
MoreThis was a nice walk along the Brazos.. the sculptures are a little farther apart than I expected. There is some parking on the street or you can park at Cameron Park. You are close to a fairly busy street and have to share the sidewalk with runners and bike riders. Don’t recommend for young children unless in a stroller. Nice walk for adults.
MoreWaco Sculpture Zoo was a fun walk/drive down University Park Drive. There are 28 unique animal statues that are found along the Brazos river after you pass the Vietnam Veteran Memorial.
MoreTake a hike or ride in your car, but definitely check out the eclectic animal sculptures along the Brazos River. Some are very obvious while others call for a stop to ask why? Another example of the forward looking city of Waco. Perfect for any group and the price is free. Next time I'll try the zoo.
