The Grady Louisville Downtown
The Grady Hotel Hotel

The Grady Hotel both honors history and defies convention. Nestled in the heart of the downtown Market District, this historic building was built in 1883 and commissioned by pharmacist J.B. Wilder as a medicinal bourbon apothecary.

The lobby and the restaurant look nice. The server that helped me before we left was very nice. Beyond that, I was very disappointed by this hotel. A bit too cramped of a room, an absurdly high rate for valet that is merely moving the car to an open lot blocks away, and a poorly advertised room offering. If you are a well-travelled party, I would take your business elsewhere. The price point does not reflect the quality we expected.

Everything about this stay was awesome. The location, the room with a view and lastly the people working at the hotel & restaurant!

Great hotel in the downtown Louisville area. Building has been renovated to a very modern hotel. However they have kept some fun touches and lots of art to honor the history of the previous occupants of the building. Very comfortable rooms and the bathroom was huge with great amenities. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again. Ate dinner in their restaurant downstairs and it was excellent.

Loudest hotel room we’ve stayed in. First we had to listen to the street sweeper, then was woken by very loud banging from what we assumed was a dumpster being emptied. Obviously this stuff is unavoidable, but it seems the building is not well insulated for as loud as it was. The other room’s shower sounded like it was by the head of our bed, so we were woken by other guests turning on and off their shower. Could also hear them walking around and at one point talking. The bathroom was in need of general maintenance and deep cleaning. Dirty grout lines in shower and bathroom floor. Shower water leaked out on to the floor. Bathroom sink was slow to drain. Hair dryer kept shorting out. For the price we payed we expected a better experience.

We stayed here for my wife's 40th birthday. Pretty hotel in an easily accessible location off the interstate. Quite a few things to do within walking distance. Nice place but after booking once, I think I'll be checking other venuesout in the future
