tripadvisorDefinitely would recommend for someone who is interested in learning about Reno, but wants to have cheeky fun while doing it! The whole team running it was great and kept me enthralled the whole time.
MoreA great way to get together with a group of fun and interesting people, take a little walk, and learn a bit about some of Reno's more colorful history. The presentation of the historical tidbits is periodically punctuated by good audience interaction and banter and some pretty good magic.Jinger, Mark and their team are pros. They have developed a fun, different and Covid safe event and entertainment. Not sure how they pulled off their final trick (it will have you scratching your head). Go. You'll enjoy it.
MoreMy husband and I went with another couple to enjoy the weird Reno tour on Saturday night. What a delight. This show is a combination of magic history and comedy all wrapped into one. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and all-around fun. I highly recommend this tour for area locals and visitors
MoreThis historical walking tour/magic show provided a very unique way to learn about Reno's past. The tour points out a lot of interesting places and people around downtown Reno. The biggest hurdle for any walking tour is the people not on the tour. However, Kalin and Jinger remained positive and made the best out of some obnoxious hecklers. Pros: The historical information was fascinating! The information was well scripted and intriguing. I loved the images that were shown that depicted old Reno. I also loved the quick magic tricks, jokes, and crowd interaction. It would be great to see either smaller groups or a second loudspeaker so that the people in the back of the walking tour can also hear what is being said. Some of the magic tricks also felt thrown in instead of being really incorporated into the show. For example, the first trick utilized playing cards. It was a cool way to begin but it would have been cool to have playing cards that showed some of the people mentioned during the tour. At the end of the tour, my friend and I both reflected on how much we enjoyed it but how it felt like there was never enough magic and never enough historical information as a result of combining both. However, refining the magic tricks and working to combine them with the history would help make the overall event more smooth. Overall, the tour is still fairly new. Although there are some kinks, it was still well put together and entertaining. It is a fun way to spend an evening - very family friendly and informative!
MoreIt was an entertaining escape, walking around Reno, primarily in the River district on the gorgeous Truckee River, learning a little history of downtown Reno laced with humor, Dad jokes and magic. The host was warm and you could tell he enjoyed entertaining his guests and wanted his guests to enjoy the walk. We have lived in Reno a long time and we learned some fun facts! Thanks for the entertaining walk on a beautiful night downtown.
