I got the opportunity to chat with, Henry, the owner and my flight instructor for the day. He shared the story about growing the community of gyroplane flyers in the United States. Adventure Air created flight experiences for new fliers as well as for those logging their hours toward a pilot license. The flights are instructional and give opportunity for hands on learning. In my initial flight, I learned and helped with pre-flight check, ground communication, tower communication, take off procedure, in air communication, flight controls, aircraft capabilities, and landing procedures. I had the controls under instruction and completed some basic maneuvers.Henry answered all my questions with lots of good humor and patience. His instructions were clear and he created a safe environment to learn. I enjoyed my first flight very much and plan on logging more flight time. I think having a good instructor makes all the difference in the first impression to flying and in building confidence to continue. I want to thank Henry and Adventure Air for their hospitality and instruction.
