This is my third stay at EVEN Hotel Norwalk, and I have very mixed feelings about it.First, I want to say that the front desk staff are genuinely excellent. Victoria, China, and Anthony (the manager) have all been consistently kind, accommodating, professional, and welcoming every time I’ve stayed here. They are absolutely not the issue, and honestly they are one of the main reasons I continued returning to this property.Unfortunately, there is an ongoing situation in the lobby that has made my stays increasingly uncomfortable. There appears to be a long-term resident who spends virtually the entire day camped out in the lobby acting like she is the mayor of the hotel. She is a short blonde woman who is there constantly, often listening to guests’ conversations at the front desk, inserting herself into situations that have nothing to do with her, and involving herself in everyone’s business. On some occasions she has been barefoot in the lobby with dogs, which feels completely inappropriate for a hotel environment at this price point.What makes this even more uncomfortable is that she openly gossips about guests to other people in the hotel. During this stay, I was even told by morning staff that she had been discussing me with others the night before.The reason I know this is such a major issue is because staff members themselves have repeatedly expressed frustration about it. Multiple employees from different shifts have made it clear that they are uncomfortable with her sitting directly next to the front desk all day listening to private guest interactions, interrupting their workflow, inserting herself into conversations, and constantly distracting them throughout their workday. It creates an awkward environment not only for guests but clearly for the employees as well. As someone paying nearly $200 a night, I should not feel like my conversations are being monitored or discussed by someone lingering in the common areas all day. The atmosphere this creates completely changes the feel of the property. Instead of feeling like a modern hotel, the lobby often feels more like low-income housing or a long-term residential facility rather than a place guests are paying premium hotel rates to stay in comfortably.I genuinely feel bad for the staff because they are consistently kind and professional despite clearly dealing with a difficult ongoing situation. Again, the employees themselves are wonderful, and I want to emphasize that. But management at a higher level needs to address this because it is negatively impacting the guest experience in a major way.After three stays and the same recurring problem every time, I would seriously reconsider returning.

Good nights sleep in standard king room with most important basics well done - clean, comfortable bed, room darkening shades, excellent air conditioning, nice size shower with very good water pressure. Would have given five stars if not for some quirks to the room. Bathroom door faces directly into sleeping area and is a TRANSLUCENT barn door style which is almost see through, so if you have two people in the room anytime they enter the bathroom at night it lights up the bedroom effecting your sleep. It also is not very soundproof so you hear the “bathroom noises”. Not a luxury hotel, but wasn’t expecting it to be but is a good value for a short to medium stay. Would stay again.

Great location near to restaurants and shops There was an airport shuttle but we had a car, most shops 10 mins walk away The staff were most helpful and all vey pleasant Nothing too much trouble They seemed to really care The rooms were spotless and had all amenities and toiletries I even had a fridge and microwave in my room , though some drawers would have made unpacking easier as would some coat hooks There’s was exercise equipment in our room which took up unnecessary space where a chest of drawers could have been placed The light as in most hotels was not brilliant but the bathroom was pretty good. Free tea and coffee etc in the lobby and you could buy snacks that were slightly over priced our room was huge It would have been great to have an extra armchair as there was only one especially for longer stays Overall highly recommended!

Good location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Large, clean rooms. Very comfortable bed! Enjoyed meeting friends in the pleasant lobby.

I stayed for a single night while in the area on business. I chose this hotel based largely on location and being a fan of IGH properties.Parking is adequate, location is close to shopping and restaurants and it's easy to find. Check in was quick and friendly.There is nothing wrong with this hotel, but I don't really get the healthy vibe they are trying to create. I guess yoga matts and other basic exercise equipment in your room is nice if that's what you are looking for, but it didn't make sense, at least for me. That said, my room was spacious and clean. It was well lit, functional and the bed was comfy. Only complaint (as another poster mentioned) is that the window let in a considerable amount of street noise.All in all, I would stay at this property (and brand) again, although the work-out stuff is of little value to me.
