tripadvisorWe were in town for the annual Jasper, Strassenfest weekend. This is a beautiful facility and I am excited to check it out each time we are in town to view the current artist exhibits. We were here today about 90 minutes in total checking everything out.
MoreFor no bigger than the city of Jasper is they have a thriving little downtown area. A part of the success is this artist/library/municiple facility. It is free to enter and provides a great space for local artists to showcase their talents. We spent a good hour here moving about the different chubs to be seen. Definitely worth stopping in to enjoy.
Moreon 10/30/24, a couple in their mid 60s staying in Patoka Lake area, drove to Jasper to tour Geode Grotto, St Joseph's Church/Cathedral, & Jasper Community Arts exhibits @ Thyen-Clark Cultural Center; after the Catholic religious sites (recommend both; see separate reviews), lunch at Snap's, & shopping on the downtown square, we popped in to view the 31st annual juried mixed media exhibit, & the exhibit of artists Valerie Eickmeier & Carol Lee Wade; the architecture/setting were excellent; the well maintained building is beautiful & full of light on a pretty campus; the exhibits were of top quality
